This research paper: A 13 page paper providing the final project report of realignment and rearrangement of a single department in the production facility. Video monitoring; employee surveys; and old-fashioned time and motion studies provided the basis for alterations for greater worker convenience and increased productivity. Results of the single-area trial are that workers' productivity has increased by a significant amount and is still increasing. They are more aware of the need for efficiency, and they have an appreciation of the dollar cost of inefficiency over the course of a year. Employees in the target area have become quite engaged and continue to seek out additional improvements in an attitude of continuous improvement. Includes a Table of Contents.
