ESSAY ON: C. Wright Mills: Power And Policy

Number of Pages 4

This research paper: 4 pages in length. The consequences of linking the field too closely to centers of power and policy have long been a significant irritation in an otherwise democratic society wholly capable of self-governing. According to C. Wright Mills, who stated with complete absence of intimidation that social science has quite widely become the way in which overt means of power seek to control the individual, argues how such manipulative maneuvers serve to remove any semblance of moral and political autonomy one may have (Mills, 2000). This assertion bears tremendous merit by virtue of its preoccupation with inevitable loss of democratic tendencies inherent to freedom and rationality. Bibliography lists 2 sources.
