ESSAY ON: Universal Health Care a Possibility

Number of Pages 5

This research paper: U.S. Census Bureau figures report the number of uninsured Americans in 2001 was 41 million, according to Kim Krisberg, which has given the movement for universal health care coverage momentum. Proponents range from university professors to single mothers returning to welfare (for health benefits) to the U.S. Institute of Medicine. Physicians, who used to resist the proposition, have been jumping on board for a decade. The latest advocates are economists. The reason for the high level of advocacy for a universal plan is that health care has become a crisis in the United States. Because health care has reached the crisis level, it is possible that universal health care coverage is possible, despite the fact that recent attempts to implement a national program failed.
