ESSAY ON: Differing Perceptions of Civil Rights: Testimony for the Congressional Committee on Domestic Affairs

Number of Pages 8

This research paper: An 8 page analysis of the outcome of the Civil Rights movement. Written in the form of an address to Congressional Committee on Domestic affairs, this paper contends that our approach to civil rights in this country has turned into what is perceived, among non-black minorities in particular, as a point of contention. They point out that while the rights of blacks were adequately addressed by the civil rights movement, their own rights were never sufficiently secured and the measures which were enacted now too often turn into a stumbling block for societal betterment rather than a stepping stone. Bibliography lists 8 sources.
