Number of Pages 3

This research paper: 3 pages in length. While the American Nursing Association recognizes the inherent value of unlicensed assistive personnel (UAP) as being instrumental in providing nurses with much-needed support, the ANA also stresses the fundamental dangers of allowing UAPs to engage in functions – such as administering medications - that only a licensed nurse should be undertaking, a far too common reality that stands to erode the nursing profession.
