This research paper: A 5 page reaction to the research detailed in “Reactions to pornography on a college campus: for or against?” by authors Ilsa Lottes, Martin Weinberg, and Inge Weller. This paper reviews the findings of this study in which the views of students at a Midwestern university as to an adult’s right to access sexually explicit materials and their opinions as to the harmful and positive aspects of such materials. The contention is made that while studies such as this voice the acceptance of certain segments of the public of such topics as pornography, the real societal impacts of ready access to these topics outweigh the social acceptability.
