This research paper: Charles Dickens and Mark Twain extensively used humor as social commentary to bring to light all that was foolish in the world around them. Twain targeted racism and small-minded people in "Pudd'nhead Wilson. Dickens picked on the government and the way in which it functioned in England and the constraints of "classism." Both used humor in their works to bring attentions to all that was wrong with society. These authors and their works will provide the textural basis for "humor" in this 7 page discussion.
