This research paper: Childhood sexual abuse is a problem of increasing magnitude in the United States. Children who are sexually abused often know their abusers and research suggests that some children who are abused by parents, family members, or clergy often create a normative view of the sexual abuse that creates a cycle of abuse. In fact, it can be argued that a large percentage of children who are sexually abused become sexual predators in adulthood, and prior to this, may participate in sexually abusive behaviors with other children. Bibliography lists 5 sources.
