Upon interviewing Mrs. Mary Wiggins, an employee of the health department, it has been brought to light that there exist several areas where community health programs in Lake City, Florida are severely lacking. As a means by which to identify and ultimately address these areas, Mrs. Wiggins narrowed the list down to a manageable number, as well as offered some sound suggestions as to the best way to implement changes. Those categories include community health screening for low-income citizens; sexually transmitted disease education for the community's youth; drug abuse and treatment; domestic violence that associated with occupational stress; and mental health and education.
