Number of Pages 8

This research paper: This is an 8 page paper discussing the developmental of London as an international center for trade and finance. Since the invasions of the Romans until the international commerce market which stands today, London has long been considered the center of international trade and finance. The strategic location on the Thames River and the early establishment of the wool industry in Britain, allowed for London to become a major trade centre in Northern Europe with trade alliances with the Dutch, Germans, Danish and Italians initially. The period of colonization and the trade of the raw commodities from the colonies further increased London’s hold on the manufactured goods coming out of England, shipping, and the redistribution of products throughout the world.
