This research paper: A 4 page research paper that discussing challenges to the health of US children. At one time in history, parents and society in general equated a fat child as being a healthy child since famine was a constant threat and illness was an inevitable factor of life prior to modern medicine. Today, however, the scenario has changed. For most America children, insufficient food is not longer a problem and being fat no longer connotes health. Modern medicine recognizes the dangers of obesity to health and this is only one of the challenges facing the goal of keeping America's children healthy. Today, to maintain optimum health, experts agree that children should receive exemplary medical care, which includes vaccinations; exemplary education, which fulfills emotional and intellectual goals; and should be encouraged to maintain physical fitness by eating a healthy diet.
