  • Review of the Film Version of Stephen King's The Green Mile

(5 pp) . If you are not a Stephen King fan, and see his name in the credits, buck up -take a few courage pills, with your popcorn, and go to see the movie anyway. . The setting of a Louisiana prison in the days of striped suits and chain gangs, is not displayed as the movie begins, but rather we see an older man who doesn't sleep well at night any more; his long walks and an old clip of Fred and Ginger dressed in their finest. The movie dissolves "Paul" into tears. As a method of release of his emotions, he begins to tell his story to a friend, and there our true story begins: of men who have the courage to show their humanity and humor in the most negative of environments - death row.
