ESSAY ON: Welfare Reform: Public Health

Number of Pages 8

This research paper: 8 pages in length. Arguing both sides of welfare reform is much the same as debating whether or not to refurbishing an old country farmhouse: The existing structure is long past due for improvement clear down to its foundation, but the cost is far too prohibitive to do the job right. This leaves two choices: Maintain the farmhouse as is until it finally crumbles to the ground after years of exposure to the elements or patch it where it needs it most until a better solution can be found. Indeed, welfare reform is more than a casual issue where society is concerned; the extent to which proposed reform stands to impact public health is both grand and far-reaching. While the proposed time restriction will compel many able-bodied individuals to clean up their lives and find gainful employment, it will be utterly disastrous for those whose physical and/or mental limitations will not allow it. Bibliography lists 7 sources.
