This research paper: An 8 page paper discussing the increasing importance of making sound management decisions. One of the key words of business today is "strategy." Not only are business conditions changing daily, but the very face of business is evolving with the growing emphasis on the global market, increasing competition on all fronts and decreasing allowable margin for error in decision making. Philip Morris made some strategically sound business-changing decisions in the 1980s; Apple Computer did not, and subsequent business results reveal now the soundness of their decisions then. Research reveals heuristics used in making decisions, as well as psychological traps that can affect the soundness of those decisions.
