The extent to which the level of mindful listening has all but disappeared in virtually every corner of contemporary society is both grand and far-reaching; that its singular presence is responsible for alleviating misunderstanding and cultivating a more holistic and healthful environment speaks to the importance of such a seemingly inconsequential factor of human communication.
