This research paper: During the period 200 – 2004 the Now York and London stock market s fell. In the US there was a minor recession n the UK there was no recession. This 8 page paper looks to the theoretical explanations for the underlying reasons for the fall. Supported by two graphs that demonstrate the falls, with data starting in 1999 theories such as efficient market hypothesis, Dow theory and the Elliott wave theory as well as the ideas of Arthur Pigou.
