Previous research has unequivocally associated extroversion with self-reported higher levels of happiness, but there has been little research on whether there is variation in regards to this perception within groups of each personality type. All of these individual characteristics combine to influence personality, which in turn influences how individuals react to conditions around them. Whether from anecdotal or empirical sources, it seems that sexual orientation can be said to influence personality to the degree in which individuals differ in their reactions to events and conditions.
