Number of Pages 7

This research paper: 7 pages in length. Modern medical technology is a wondrous thing. With just the flick of a switch, life can be snatched from the grips of death. However, without the proper equipment, life merely hangs in the balance, preventing medical professionals from effectively performing their life-saving jobs. It has been said that the twentieth century is responsible for the most monumental medically-advanced technology, particular in relation to heart disease, which include drug therapy, heart transplants, coronary bypass, the heart-lung machine and the mechanical heart. Had it not been for these technological advancements, mankind would still be using guesswork in order to address the always complicated and often deadly heart disease. Bibliography lists 9 sources.
