Nesler, Storr and Tedeschi (1993) conducted a study of female college students using the Interpersonal Judgment Scale (IJS) as the instrument by which the researchers rated a "liking" scale. The bottom-line conclusion of the researchers in "The interpersonal judgment scale: a measure of liking or respect?" is that the IJS may be limited in its ability to measure attraction.
