Students of contemporary cultures have calculators and computers to achieve their academic requirements, leaving little room for any substantial amount of education to truly seep into the brain. Looking back upon such important theories as nature versus nurture, Piaget's Cognitive Development Theory, Gesell's Maturational Theory and Bandura's Observational Learning Theory allows one to gain a significantly better perspective of the notion of intelligence, as well as the path of progression it has taken over time.
